The St. Cloud VA Health Care System (HCS) is seeking an Assistant Medical Director for Primary and Specialty Medicine (PSM) for their Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) locations- Alexandria, Montevideo, and Brainerd. The incumbent is responsible for the direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the PSM service line. A primary objective of the Primary and Specialty Medicine Service Line is to mentor and lead competent, satisfied staff dedicated to providing high quality patient-centered care at the St. Cloud VAHCS. The Assistant Medical Director, is a department level management position supporting this objective through administrative leadership. The incumbent is responsible for the direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the PSM service line. These duties include supervision (directly or indirectly) of physicians and mid-level providers at the Health Care System and the affiliated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), coordination of work schedules and responsibility for clinical performance measures. The incumbent works closely with other leaders within the service line and facility to ensure optimization of resources in the care delivery model. Additionally, s/he participates in local administrative, management, quality assurance, and other assignments, meetings, or committees as necessary or assigned.
