About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Radiology Manager is responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) within the Radiology service line. This leader ensures high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team development. The APP Radiology Manager partners closely with Radiologists, hospital leadership, nursing, and administrative teams to align clinical services with organizational goals. Requirements

  • Active Florida state licensure
  • National board certification
  • DEA registration (if applicable)
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as an APP, preferably in Radiology or Interventional Radiology
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflow and procedural services
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Operational and financial acumen
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Ability to drive process improvement initiatives

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and support to Radiology APPs across all service areas (IR, diagnostic radiology, procedural services, etc.)
  • Ensure evidence-based practice standards are followed
  • Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and compliance measures
  • Participate in direct patient care as needed
  • Oversee APP scheduling, productivity, and workflow optimization
  • Support onboarding, training, and mentorship of new APPs
  • Develop and maintain standardized clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with Radiology Medical Directors to ensure alignment of clinical operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Support MQSA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements as applicable
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Review incident reports and implement corrective action plans when necessary
  • Monitor productivity benchmarks and budget targets
  • Assist with resource planning and staffing models
  • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within Radiology service lines
  • Support business development efforts for procedural and diagnostic services
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing feedback sessions
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture
  • Identify professional development opportunities
  • Support retention and recruitment strategies
