About The Position

The Physician Assistant at Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients. This includes making rounds, conducting physical examinations, administering injections, caring for wounds, and arranging patient referrals. The role is integral to providing high-quality, individualized care to a diverse patient population.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or a baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in Pennsylvania.
  • National Certification in Pennsylvania or another state with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in the medical care and management of patients.
  • Make rounds and perform physical examinations.
  • Administer injections and care for wounds.
  • Arrange for patient referrals as needed.
  • Provide individualized and specialized care to patients.
