About The Position

The Physician Assistant will perform tasks and procedures delegated by the referring Physician within their scope of practice. This includes performing complete, detailed, and accurate histories, and reviewing patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports. The individual will conduct physical examinations, interact with and counsel patients for symptom management, advanced care planning, and determination of patient goals. The PA is responsible for instituting therapy, including drug therapies, and will accept and perform hospital consults and rounds. They will also provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care and management of stable and chronic illnesses under the supervision of an appropriately credentialed attending physician. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Program
  • PA License
  • BLS required
  • Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients
  • Willing to participate in palliative care education programs and practice state-of-the-art care for all patients

Responsibilities
