About The Position

The Physician Assistant (PA) position at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton involves providing direct patient care in the ENT Department. Requirements

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant required.
• Physician Assistant License required.
• Basic Life Support Certificate required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• ARC-PA, NCCPA certification required.
• Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA required.
• Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years experience in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations, formulate care plans, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and provide education to patients and their families.
• Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely, and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the care of patients to provide safe, effective, efficient, and timely patient-centered care.
• Liaise between visiting nurses, clinical staff, and consult services to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Consult with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for complex diagnoses.
• Act as an educator and clinical resource for staff through consultation, formal and informal education, and participation in seminars and conferences.
• Work collaboratively with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and families, demonstrating an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
