About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

  • Performing history and physical examinations.
  • Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
  • Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs, and other therapies, as needed.
  • Making referrals, as necessary.
  • Consulting with supervising medical provider, when appropriate.
  • Counseling patients and families regarding care.
  • Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
  • Precept and evaluate physician assistant students rotating through the Emergency Department.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $134,405 - $178,115 based on 40-hour work week.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $147,845 - $195,926, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
