About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

Performing history and physical examinations.
Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs, and other therapies, as needed.
Making referrals, as necessary.
Consulting with supervising medical provider, when appropriate.
Counseling patients and families regarding care.
Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
Precept and evaluate physician assistant students rotating through the Emergency Department.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $134,405 - $178,115 based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $147,845 - $195,926, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
