About The Position

The Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

Requirements

Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Six months in specialty.
Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program .

Nice To Haves

One year in specialty.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
