The Physician Assistant will perform medical examinations, selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, and other special procedures to assist in the delivery of medical services to patients.   • BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
  • PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
  • M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, reviews, and implements current clinical practice in light of changing concepts, methods, techniques and written standards of care.
  • Performs therapeutic and corrective measures within area of expertise in collaboration with other health team members
  • Safely manage outpatient patients and competently determine correct treatment for chronic and acute illness
  • Manage own in-basket in timely fashion throughout the day
  • Help physician (clinical partner) with their in-basket
