About The Position

We have a fantastic opportunities for several Critical Care Physician Assistants to join our staff Position Summary: The Critical Care PA will provide direct clinical services to critically ill patients with multi-organ or multi-system disease failure in adult surgical, and medical ICU's.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant school
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Concentration in Critical Care/ Emergency Medicine and Masters Degree preferred
- Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York
- NCCPA(certified)
- DEA license/CPR-BLS/NPI/NCC PA required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Prior experience as a PA in Critical Care a plus
Responsibilities
- Documentation of patient health histories and complete physical examinations
- Formulate and implement treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Assess patients change in status and institute appropriate interventions
- Initiate necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patients
- Provide family centered care ,communicating with family regarding the changing health care needs of their family members
- Perform approved diagnostic therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based on the patients clinical status
