About The Position

This Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA) position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement, which will be discussed with interviewed candidates. In addition, hires are eligible for additional compensation bonuses tied to productivity and retention. These positions offer billable hours, shift and holiday differential, and monthly bonuses. The advanced practice provider (PA) will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology within WashU Medicine, a top ranked medical school in the country working with the Barnes-Jewish Hospital ICU staff and patient population. Opportunities include cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/burn/trauma ICU, combined medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine. ICU work locations will be determined based on the applicant's experience and professional interests. Will practice as an independent provider in collaboration with a fellowship trained intensivist within diverse, skilled, inter-professional critical care teams. The environment is challenging and rewarding and allows the PA the opportunity to practice to the fullest extent of their scope of practice.

Requirements

  • M.S. - Master Of Science - Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, or ability to obtain within 3 months of date of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days

Nice To Haves

  • Critical care experience
  • Experience with devices commonly utilized in cardiothoracic surgery patient population (for CTICU positions)
