Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Cardiology Physician Assistant - Noninvasive / Diagnostic Suite to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi is the largest public hospital in the Bronx (500+ beds) and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Opportunity Details: Primarily care for patients within Non-Invasive Cardiology, including the Diagnostic Suite, cardiology clinics, and patient wards. Assess patients for cardiovascular disease, perform cardiac testing, provide clinical support, and collaborate with physicians to implement appropriate treatment plans. Assist with the administration of medications during Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Definity contrast, and bubble studies during echocardiogram testing. Aid with the oversight of Cardiac Clinic operations. Review results of pre- and post-procedural testing and communicate findings to patients, families, and referring physicians. Conduct peer reviews with insurance carriers for pre-procedure or specialty pharmacy prescription approvals and refills. Assist patients in navigating the evaluation, procedure, and post-procedural follow-up process. See both new and follow-up patients. Participate in care coordination meetings. Contribute to the development of referral pathways and outreach to referring clinicians. May rotate between hospital sites (Jacobi and NCB).
