About The Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) with experience or strong interest in outpatient cardiology to join a growing ambulatory cardiology practice. This role works closely with cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active PA license in [State]
• NCCPA certification
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

• Outpatient cardiology experience (1+ year preferred, but strong new grads considered depending on training)
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR
• BLS/ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories and physical exams
• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter/event monitors, labs)
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapy per clinical guidelines
• Provide patient education regarding disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Document all clinical encounters accurately in the EMR
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary services
• Support quality initiatives and clinical protocols within the cardiology service line
