About The Position

The Broward Health Physician Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to perform cardiac surgical or cardiac thoracic evaluations and related clinical assessments. The role involves initiating diagnostic and treatment plans, educating patients, and precepting students or new employees. Additional responsibilities include performing quality management activities and providing community and professional education offerings. The Physician Assistant will only perform medical services under the supervision of a fully licensed physician.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• One year of cardiac surgical and/or cardiothoracic experience.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certification.
• State of Florida Physician Assistant Licensure.
• BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac surgical or cardiac thoracic evaluations and related clinical assessments.
• Initiate diagnostic and treatment plans for patients.
• Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options.
