About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well-established group of 22 anesthesiologists at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. The practice handles approximately 2,200 cases per month, including General, Trauma, Ortho, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Peds, and Regional anesthesia. The position offers a medically directed care model working with CRNAs and involves practice at multiple facilities, including a 344-bed tertiary hospital and an outpatient surgery center. The surgical schedule is busy, covering a wide range of cases, excluding transplants and pediatric hearts. The facilities are recognized for their high-quality programs, including a Top 100 Interventional Cardiac Program and a Top 100 Health Grades Joint Replacement Program.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures including General, Trauma, Ortho, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Peds, and Regional cases.
• Work collaboratively with a team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
• Participate in a medically directed care model.
• Manage anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient surgeries across multiple facilities.
