About The Position

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to board certification eligibility.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology with Fellowship training in Pain.

Responsibilities

  • Management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain during surgical and medical procedures.
  • Provide anesthesia care in non-operative settings including PACU, GI, Cardiology, MRI, and IR.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary Whole Health team activities and collaborate with other services.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, administer intra-operative anesthetics, and provide post-anesthetic care.
  • Maintain documentation requirements and monitor clinic management for quality and patient safety oversight.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of biomedical, clinical, and social sciences in patient care and education.
