About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Monroe seeks applicants for an Anesthesiology position. Must be board certified/ board eligible in Anesthesiology and eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure. Graduating Anesthesia residents are welcome to apply. This position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor of the Department of Anesthesia. The successful candidate will also need to have a strong commitment to an active teaching program and scholarly activities. Highlights of the Position: 20 Faculty Anesthesiologists 40 CRNAs Our health sciences center is home to the School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies and School of Allied Health Professions and a robust research enterprise. More than 800 students are enrolled in the degree programs at any one time. Additionally, nearly 600 residents and fellows are trained each year. Home to the only Level I Trauma center in the surrounding region, and one of only two in the state. The Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana provides healthcare to more than 140,000 patients across North Louisiana with 600,000 clinic visits annually. There are more than 20 locations, including North Louisiana’s only Level I Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center at its acute care hospital, a newly renovated hospital with women's and children's services in Shreveport, La. and an acute care hospital in Monroe, La. designated as a Level III Trauma Center. Requirements

MD and/or DO
Board certified/eligible in Anesthesia
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Louisiana
A distinguished record in Anesthesia
Outstanding skills and commensurate clinical activities
Candidates must have a firm commitment to the education of residents and medical students
