About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport seeks applicants to join our team at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Under the leadership of Wendy K. Bernstein, MD, MBA, FASA, FAMWA. Must be board certified/ board eligible in Anesthesiology and eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure. Graduating Anesthesia residents are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will also need to have a strong commitment to an active teaching program and scholarly activities. Specialty Areas of Need: OB Anesthesia Regional Anesthesia Locations: Academic Medical Center St. Mary Medical Center Feist-Weiller Cancer Center OLHS Regional Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure.
• Strong commitment to teaching and scholarly activities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in OB Anesthesia and Regional Anesthesia.
• Interest in academic medicine and research.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in various specialty areas including OB and Regional Anesthesia.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows.
• Participate in scholarly activities and research.
• Collaborate with a team of faculty anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs.
