About The Position

The Physician & Surgeon, CF (Internal Medicine/Family Practice [IM/FP]) provides medical care to patients in a correctional facility under the general direction of the Chief Physician & Surgeon. Responsibilities include performing medical assessments, providing treatment, offering clinical consultation to midlevel providers, and instructing nursing and clinical staff on medical protocols. The position also involves on-call duties.

Requirements

• Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California.
• Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate.
• Admissibility to an internal medicine or family medicine Specialty examination.
