The Barrett’s Esophagus Treatment Center at Jefferson Health is one of the few dedicated centers in the U.S. and the first multidisciplinary center in Philadelphia solely focused on Barrett’s Esophagus. With over 2,300 radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedures performed, Jefferson ranks among the top 10 globally for total RFA volume and is recognized as a pioneer in RFA therapy. The Jefferson Digestive Health Institute offers comprehensive services in gastroenterology and hepatology, including: Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy Motility and liver transplantation Specialized centers for celiac disease, IBD, complicated polyps, fatty liver, viral hepatitis, and liver tumors Outpatient care and endoscopy are provided at the Honickman Center, a state-of-the-art facility. A dedicated advanced endoscopy unit within the hospital complex is nearing completion of major renovations. The ambulatory suite includes newly renovated outpatient, administrative, and academic offices for the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
