Our Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician position offers an individual to interact with Physical Therapist and patients in an outpatient setting. The tech/aide plays a key role in providing assistance to our therapist in a fast and upbeat environment and helping to maintain a therapeutic and positive atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Support physical therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
- Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying any fears.
- Help treat patients by applying heat packs or ice packs, helping patients into exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Educate patients by properly demonstrating use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations.
