About The Position

Responsible for the efficient operation of the front desk, scheduling, and greeting patients at the window and on the telephone. Assists all therapists in the department. The receptionist/Physical Therapy aide works at the reception desk of Pike County Memorial Hospital's Physical Therapy Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering the telephone, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, copying, faxing, discharging charts, sending orders, and paperwork for signatures. Additional duties include performing operational tasks as assigned (e.g., cleaning and other clerical duties), managing work queues, verifying charges, registering new patients in the computer system, obtaining detailed patient information, and copying insurance cards and IDs. Keeps patients’ health information confidential at all times and maintains HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Track record of exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new work environments and personnel

  • Prior Physical Therapy Aide or administrative experience preferred.
