About The Position

The Physical Therapy Manager at Indiana Spine Group is responsible for directing and delivering patient physical therapy services. This role involves assessing, interpreting, planning, and monitoring specialized treatment plans for patients, while also overseeing a small team of physical therapy staff. The manager ensures compliance with organizational and government regulations and works directly with patients to support their recovery efforts.

Requirements

  • Master and/or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapist.
  • License or ability to obtain a license to practice physical therapy in Indiana.
  • Previous experience coordinating patient care through third-party providers.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications, usually obtained through a minimum of 5 to 7 years of previous physical therapy management experience, preferably with orthopedic or spine specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
  • Appraising employee productivity and efficiency for recommendations and discipline.
  • Preventing and resolving conflicts between staff and members.
  • Assessing patient conditions and establishing goals, treatments, and care plans in conjunction with patients and physicians.
  • Meeting with patients for follow-up reviews to ensure treatment goals are met.
  • Ensuring appropriate treatment is performed in an interdisciplinary manner, consulting with physicians and other providers.
  • Documenting findings, treatments, and other patient information for medical records.
  • Serving as an information and education resource for patients, families, and staff.
  • Developing a system to monitor all referred physical therapy patients' progress from initial evaluation to discharge.
  • Serving as a liaison between the practice and physical therapy providers regarding patient status and needs.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations for meetings with staff, referring physicians, insurance carriers, and other corporations.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting regarding the effectiveness of physical therapy.
  • Overseeing the physical therapy department's finances, including billing and insurance issues, ensuring records are current and complete.
  • Implementing new monetary and fiscal policies, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
