About The Position
The position involves treating patients as directed by a Physical Therapist, recording daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board, and assisting in maintaining the department. The role includes participating in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed, cleaning and maintaining the treatment area, and treating patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Additionally, the position requires assisting the nursing department with training Restorative Aides, communicating with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, and participating in in-service training programs for other staff. The employee will also instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Reporting any problems with department equipment is also a responsibility. The position is not supervisory.
