Physical Therapy Assistant

About the position

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Amberwell Atchison, you will perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for patients receiving physical therapy. This includes working with inpatients, outpatients, and Home Health/Hospice patients. Your role is crucial in supporting the rehabilitation process and ensuring that patients receive the best care possible during their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments for patients receiving physical therapy.
• Provide exercise instruction and demonstration to patients.
• Assist in the rehabilitation of inpatients, outpatients, and Home Health/Hospice patients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 year/Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required.
• Kansas licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Twenty CEUs every 2 years to maintain licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
