Physical Therapy Assistant Location: San Bruno Skilled Nursing Conveniently located off El Camino Real (Hwy 82) and the 380 freeway in San Bruno, California. Overview: San Bruno Skilled Nursing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist, following established protocols.
  • Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the therapy department and the cleanliness of the treatment area.
  • Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress, challenges, and care plans.
  • Assist nursing staff with training for Restorative Aides and instruct patients' families on caregiver training and maintenance programs.
  • Report any issues with department equipment to ensure everything is maintained in good working order.
  • Work collaboratively and positively with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
