Essential Functions: Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Provide hands-on therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to patients as directed. Monitor and document patient progress, including range of motion, strength, and functional abilities. Instruct and educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and home care programs. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and equipment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice, always maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in physical therapy practices through continuing education and professional development activities. Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy.
  • Eligible to practice as an Physical Therapist Assistant, per state guidelines.
