Position Summary : Implements treatment plan as established by primary physical therapist for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations, including meeting productivity requirements, maintaining professional development, and maintaining continuing educational requirements in order to provide up-to-date treatment methods. Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population.

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California required.
  • Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
  • Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of overall experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year Home Health experience, preferred (Home Health department only)
  • Experience with aquatic therapy, highly desirable (Wellness Center positions only)
  • Current CA Driver’s License and auto insurance, required (Home health only)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Implements treatment plan for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses.
  • Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations, including meeting productivity requirements, maintaining professional development, and maintaining continuing educational requirements in order to provide up-to-date assessment and treatment methods.
  • Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population.
  • Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.
  • Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate.
