About The Position

Are you a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide in-home therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve strength, mobility, safety, and independence. You will work closely with nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Iowa.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Home health or community-based experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home physical therapy treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care
  • Implement therapeutic exercise programs focused on strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility
  • Assist patients with gait training, transfer training, and functional mobility tasks
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Accurately document patient visits and interventions in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary care team
  • Promote independence and functional improvement through compassionate, patient-centered care
