Requirements

  • Licensure: Must possess a current, valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in the state of California.
  • Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication, and a heart for geriatric care.
  • Attitude: A team-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Treatment: Provide high-quality patient treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist, strictly following established protocols and care plans.
  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain accurate daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports in full compliance with California PT Board requirements.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences to coordinate holistic resident recovery.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with supervisors and the healthcare team regarding patient progress and challenges.
  • Staff & Family Education: Assist in training Restorative Aides and provide vital caregiver training and maintenance program instruction to patients' families.
  • Environment Upkeep: Ensure the therapy department remains clean, organized, and that all equipment is in safe, working order.
  • Community Spirit: Build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
