About The Position
The Visiting Nurse Association of Florida (VNA), a 50-year-old home health agency, is expanding and seeking to hire Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in Sun City and Riverview. This role involves providing a full array of home care services to TGH patients and other community members needing home care, maintaining the same high level of care as received at Tampa General Hospital. As a PTA, you will work with healthcare community referral sources to deliver therapy services in patients' homes, following physician's orders and under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year experience working as a PTA in either an outpatient facility or hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services according to physician's orders and under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist to meet the needs of individuals and families in their homes
- Assess patients' conditions and report significant changes to the registered PT and nursing supervisors
- Provide treatment and care to patients in their home
