Job Description Summary: To assist in the provision of physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist

Requirements

  • BA or A.A. degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant school or have training or experience or combination which in the opinion of the Physical Therapy Examining Committee of the California State Department of Consumer Affairs is equivalent to that obtained in an approved school (Calif. Admin. Code 1398.47 #1 and #2) for California licensure
  • Physical Therapist Assistant Required at hire
  • Basic Life Support Required at hire
  • Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
  • Knowledge of safe and effective transfer and gait training techniques, physical therapy modalities, and therapeutic exercise
  • Ability to complete documentation as per policy and procedure
  • Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instruction
  • Demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize work

Nice To Haves

  • One year as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in an acute care hospital setting preferred
