As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you help patients get well and bring their power back. You are a healer and a helper, adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual, with the goal to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities. You are adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice

Responsibilities

  • Implement physical therapy programs and activities
  • Follow developed recovery plans
  • Deliver therapy treatments
  • Address the whole patient and see them as an individual
  • Execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities
  • Be adaptable to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and the settings
  • Collaborate with peers
  • Make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive
  • Put patients first; ensuring patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
