About The Position

Agape Physical Therapy clinics are dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible, employing expert physical therapists committed to patient care, unique skill sets, and continuous learning to improve the quality of life for others. With 15 locations across Maryland and Pennsylvania, Agape Physical Therapy maintains a standard of quality patient care. The company is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its growing healthcare team in Maryland. In this role, the PTA will collaborate with Physical Therapists to provide exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Maryland state license or ability to obtain promptly
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Strong manual therapy and exercise instruction skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic modalities
  • Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Compassionate approach to patient care
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaborative skills
  • Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and exercises

Nice To Haves

  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of Physical Therapists
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques
  • Assist patients with mobility, strength training, and functional activities
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records
  • Educate patients and families about exercises and home programs
  • Set up and maintain therapy equipment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and report patient responses to treatment
  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
  • Participate in team meetings and care planning sessions
