About The Position

Looking to hire passionate and committed Physical Therapy Assistants who are dedicated to serving adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the major cities of Texas. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve our inspiring clients ages 21 and up. We are the largest provider of Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy for the adult Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities community in Texas. Requirements

  • Ability to learn on the job and have the ability to utilize and augment the materials we provide
  • Texas-issued Physical Therapy Assistant License
  • Ability to perform therapy through teletherapy
  • DO NOT apply if you do not have a valid Texas-issued Physical Therapy Assistant License. A valid license is obtained after completion of an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and taking the accredited NPTE exam to obtain a valid Texas Physical Therapist Assistant License.
  • DO NOT apply if you are not comfortable working with adults in their homes and/or outside of a clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality therapy in the client’s home and communicate with families about the therapy sessions
  • Communicate weekly with families about goals and progress and monthly communication with case managers
  • Adaptability and teamwork skills
  • Turn in paperwork in a 24 hour timeline
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations
  • Traveling to our clients’ homes and providing individually tailored therapy.
  • Documenting therapy visits and contacting families and case managers to share updates
  • Adjusting the therapy to make sure that there is always progress towards the client’s goals
