About The Position

We are hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant at Sentara Therapy Center Cancer Rehab in Norfolk, Virginia. Our center is a Cancer/Lymphedema Rehab facility. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits. The work shift will be scheduled with the hours of operation for the facility, which is Mon-Thursday 7:15am to 5:30pm and Friday 8-4:30pm. As a Physical Therapy Assistant with Sentara, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Requirements

  • Physical therapist assistant (PTA) education, obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program
  • Associate's Degree for Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Holds a current Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
  • Has at least 2 years of experience as a PTA

Responsibilities
