About The Position

Provides care to optimize functional recovery of patient in collaboration with Physical Therapist Collaborates with physical therapists and health care team to implement care plan Provides patient care interventions based on patient acuity and functional status Follows the plan of care and reports on patient's status and progress towards goals Participates in planning and operational changes to achieve team and individual performance improvement goals Observes and documents patient's response to treatment and progress Assures accurate and efficient documentation of patient progress in patient record In collaboration with Physical Therapist communicates patient care needs with interdisciplinary health care teams Facilitates patient education and functional maintenance with patients/ families following the plan of care Serves as a patient advocate in identifying functional potential and promoting the appropriate utilization of services

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree of Associate of Applied Science and successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist
  • Valid MS State Board of Physical Therapy (MSBPT) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license; or temporary 90-day licensure issued by the MSBPT
  • Temporary license must be obtained and submitted prior to hire date
