About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant. Position available: Full-time, Days, M-F plus one Saturday per month, 36 hrs/wk The role of the Physical Therapy Assistant is to assess, plan, and implement patient/family/caregiver physical therapy needs and treatments for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); and maintain documentation on services provided to patient/family/caregiver. Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions. Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy Assistants
Passing of the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical Therapy Assistants
License to practice in the state of Indiana
Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy from accredited program
Standard therapy modalities as listed in specific disciplines procedures
Computer operational skills
Time management skills
Self motivated and directed
Multi-task capability
Communication skills
Limited analytical and problem solving skills
Tact and diplomacy in dealing with others
Exhibits communication skills necessary to interpret response to situations/treatments encountered in Rehab Medicine
Must be able to communicate effectively with all age groups in Rehab Medicine
Demonstrates ability to work effectively with all patients and staff members in Rehab Medicine
