About The Position

Ensures that physical therapy services are administered and completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Provides physical therapy treatments for hospital-based inpatient and/or outpatient services or outpatient clinic services, as well as associated treatment records, progress notes, and billing information. Maintains specific service delivery standards which address commitment to service, customer satisfaction, ongoing evaluation of customer expectations, integration with quality process, communication and interaction standards, turn-around time and information processing standards, corporate compliance requirements, and physical amenities/environment of care. Cleans treatment tables and rooms after patient use, participates in staff meetings, in-services and other educational activities, and most importantly, engages in consultation with the Physical Therapist as to any changes in the patient’s condition or response to treatment which may warrant re-evaluation or alteration of the established treatment plan or goals. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent with Associate’s of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Licensed or license-eligible by NY state as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • CPR certification within the first three months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of up to two years of education, training and clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
