About the position
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) role at Mission Point Healthcare Services involves providing therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities
- Provides appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the Physical Therapist.
- Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
- Collaborates with the Physical Therapist to develop methods of delivering education to patients and their families.
- Communicates with patients, caregivers, and their families regarding progress under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
- Contributes to the delivery of cost-effective care.
- Travels as needed to other campus locations and/or to home health assignments.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in a rehab discipline, PTA required.
- Must hold applicable valid and unencumbered state license.
- Experience in Trigger point therapy preferred.
Nice-to-haves
