About The Position
Asbury Methodist Village is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to administer physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist. The role involves performing physical therapy treatment according to the resident’s established plan of care, which includes setting short and long-term goals, as well as discharge planning. The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for completing accurate daily billing in Optima HCS for residents on their caseload and documenting resident progress through daily treatment encounter notes, weekly progress reports, recertification documentation, and discharge summaries. The position also requires providing ongoing treatment to residents using the latest techniques, adhering to physician orders, APTA guidelines, and the state practice act’s code of conduct/standards. Participation in facility care plan meetings, weekly rehab team meetings, company webinars, and interdisciplinary team trainings/conferences is also expected.
