As a Physical Therapy Assistant supporting our South Team, you will be providing compassionate care to our patients residing in Stark and Wayne Counties. This includes the cities of Akron-Canton, Alliance and Canal Fulton in Stark and Wooster, Orville and Rittman in Wayne. As a part of this team, you will support this mission by applying a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of functional limitations, impairments and disorders. This role is critical in ensuring patients feel at their best, empowering them to take control of their treatment. Requirements

• Associate's Degree or certificate.
• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
• Valid Driver’s License (VDL) with proof of $100,000/$300,000 coverage insurance coverage for Homecare.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical area.
• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient centered Physical Therapy treatment incorporating evidence-based practice and skilled techniques to achieve optimal functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Observe, communicate and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Plan, organize and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patient/family, incorporating evidence-based practice.
• Provide education on Physical Therapy related subjects to patients, clients, caregivers, hospital personnel and the community.
• Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
• Act as a resource for volunteers and observers.
