About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time/PRN position at All Saints Sub Acute and Skilled Nursing. Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements.
- Assist in maintaining departmental functionality.
- Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the treatment area.
- Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the physician.
- Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
- Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility.
- Document any treatment changes according to policy and procedures.
- Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
- Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
- Exhibit the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
