We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time/PRN position at All Saints Sub Acute and Skilled Nursing. Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental functionality.
  • Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining the treatment area.
  • Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the physician.
  • Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility.
  • Document any treatment changes according to policy and procedures.
  • Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
  • Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Exhibit the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
