More about our team: North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists! What we're looking for: We are looking for a dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state where services are rendered
  • Associate's degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities.
  • Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
  • Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  • Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Assists with patient discharge planning.
  • Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
