Requirements

  • Associate's degree; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Rehab or acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Applying appropriate therapeutic modalities, monitoring patient responses, and providing timely updates on progress or needed adjustments to treatment goals.
  • Documenting all services rendered and educates patients and their families or caregivers about physical deficits and recovery strategies.
  • Supporting discharge planning, advising on adaptive equipment, and connecting patients to community support resources.
