Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License

Responsibilities

  • Patient Treatment: Provide treatment to patients under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements.
  • Department Maintenance: Assist in keeping the therapy department organized and the treatment area clean.
  • Patient Care Participation: Attend Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as necessary.
  • Treatment Execution: Deliver patient care based on physician treatment plans and effectively communicate patient progress to the healthcare team.
  • Equipment Reporting: Report any issues with department equipment to ensure it remains functional and well-maintained.
  • Family Education: Teach patients' families or nursing staff about maintaining care programs and provide caregiver training prior to patient discharge.
