About The Position

A full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is available in our outpatient department within a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility in Kittery, ME. Durgin Pines is a beautiful 5-star skilled nursing facility located in a quiet coastal neighborhood in Southern Maine on acres of private wooden property. Centrally located to downtown Portsmouth, coastal beaches, Kittery Outlets, many eateries, and close to the highway for easy commuting.  There is a large gym space that has been recently renovated and services include both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient services. We have an onsite preschool that is available to staff, in which the students interact regularly with the residents during activities to create a unique community environment. The facility hosts a variety of community wide events throughout the year including holiday parades, proms, craft fairs, trunk or treats, and volunteer opportunities for those who want to be a part of the fun. Requirements

  • Have adult outpatient experience with a focus on orthopedic conditions and geriatric rehabilitation.
  • Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
  • Work well with others in a team setting
  • Be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy care to address pain, functional limitations, and strength based deficits in an outpatient setting.
