Job Description Patient Treatment: Provide treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Documentation: Accurately record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements. Department Maintenance: Help maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the therapy department. Participation: Engage in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Treatment Execution: Implement treatment plans according to the physician’s directives and document any treatment modifications as per facility policies. Staff Training Support: Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, concerns, and plans. In-Service Training: Participate in in-service training programs for staff within the facility. Family and Staff Instruction: Educate patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge from therapy services. Equipment Maintenance: Report any issues with department equipment to maintain functionality. Interpersonal Skills: Build positive, effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
