Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Treatment: Provide care to patients under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports in compliance with PT Board requirements.
  • Department Maintenance: Help keep the therapy department organized and the treatment areas clean.
  • Patient Care Participation: Attend Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as necessary.
  • Treatment Execution: Deliver patient care based on physician treatment plans, effectively communicating patient progress to the healthcare team.
  • Equipment Reporting: Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Family Education: Educate patients' families and nursing staff on care maintenance programs and provide caregiver training before patient discharge.
