About The Position

We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing team at Thrive Proactive Health. This is an outpatient role serving an active population with a primary focus on sports and spine conditions. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, dependable, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team. You’ll work closely with Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, personalized care while contributing to a positive clinic culture and patient experience. Active Virginia State PTA License required. Thrive Proactive Health is a Postural Restoration® Certified Center and a privately owned, interdisciplinary wellness clinic.. Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Virginia
  • Strong clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and patient-centered mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
  • Reliable, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Positive attitude and commitment to high standards of care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports, or spine care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Perform thorough chart reviews to understand evaluations, functional limitations, impairments, and patient goals
  • Deliver safe, effective, and progressive therapeutic interventions with sound clinical judgment
  • Collect and communicate patient response data, modifying interventions as appropriate to support progress and safety
  • Identify patient care concerns that may influence outcomes and communicate observations and recommendations to the Physical Therapist
  • Coordinate with team members and support staff to ensure smooth clinic flow and an excellent patient experience
  • Serve as a reliable team member who communicates clearly and contributes positively to care delivery
  • Take ownership of clinical outcomes and patient feedback during assigned shifts
  • Build respectful, professional relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and referral partners
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record to support billing and continuity of care
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education, in-house training, and professional development
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing clinical demands
  • Contribute ideas for improving workflows, care delivery, and team effectiveness
  • Uphold professionalism in appearance, attitude, communication, and conduct
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company information in accordance with HIPAA and clinic policies
