Requirements
- Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach to therapy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative rehab team
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with exercises and mobility training to support recovery goals
- Document resident progress and report updates to the Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and families on safe practices and therapy exercises to continue at home
- Help create a positive, encouraging environment for therapy sessions
- Ensure therapy services comply with Ohio state regulations and facility standards
