Requirements

  • Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, resident-focused approach to therapy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative rehab team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist residents with exercises and mobility training to support recovery goals
  • Document resident progress and report updates to the Physical Therapist
  • Educate residents and families on safe practices and therapy exercises to continue at home
  • Help create a positive, encouraging environment for therapy sessions
  • Ensure therapy services comply with Ohio state regulations and facility standards
